Foodies can now patronize Devagi's Restaurant & Café. Located amidst a row of
shop-houses in Upper Thomson Road, Spice Queen and well-known celebrity chef, Devagi
Sanmugam has, at long last, fulfilled her dream of opening her very own restaurant and
café.
Using authentic ingredients to create dishes that embody the flavours and culture of
Asia, Devagi's Restaurant & Café offers eclectic variations of Thai, Indonesian,
Indian, Peranakan and Fusion dishes. Favourites and specialties include Devagi's very
own Indian Style Fish Head curry, Indonesian Style Fish Head curry, a very special Fish
Head Soup, Hyderabad Dum Briyani, Salt & Pepper Prawns etc. A must try is her ice cream
desserts like Jackfruit Ice Cream, Rose Falooda Ice Cream and her Bru Espresso
Ice Cream. Vegetarian options also available, and most dishes can be ordered
"sans meat". The Indian Style Vegetarian Fried Rice is a must try too.
The theme and décor are in keeping with all things Asian. From the Thai silk
cushion wall panels to the Indian elephant border strips that line the brightly colored
walls of the restaurant, and the casual wood furniture, not to mention the grace and
smile of Devagi, hostess and chef extraordinaire, the ambience is both warm and
welcoming.
"In creating the whole restaurant, I wanted a concept that's both simple and elegant,
but at the same time, casual with a homely feel," said Devagi. "Walking into Devagi's
is like stepping into my home", she added with assurance.
